IRTS Staff Qualifications

IRTS Program Director:

  • Must be a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)
    • Option 1: 30+ semester hours or 45+ quarter hours in behavioral sciences + 2,000+ hours of experience OR language fluency in specific non-English languages OR completion of practicum/internship OR currently enrolled in a practicum/internship
    • Option 2: 4,000+ hours of experience in service delivery
    • Option 3: Receives weekly supervision until reaching 4,000 hours of experience, but has at least 2,000 hours
    • Option 4: Master’s or graduate degree in behavioral sciences

IRTS Registered Nurse:

  • Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Minnesota
  • Must work a minimum of 8 hours per week in the program
  • Must also be an MHP (see options above)

IRTS Treatment Director/Clinical Supervisor:

  • Must be a Mental Health Professional (MHP)
    • Licensed registered nurse with specific certifications
    • Independent licensed clinical social worker
    • Licensed psychologist
    • Physician with specific certifications or eligibility
    • Licensed marriage and family therapist
    • Licensed professional clinical counselor
